2009-12-01Medical and Pharmaceutical Conference, 4-5 December 2009
Salus International became a member of the “Safe Pharmacotherapy in Hospitals – let’s work together” Medical and Pharmaceutical Conference Planning Committee, and is responsible for organizational matters. The conference will be held on the initiative of the PFC Hospital Pharmacy Department in Krakow.

The scientific and training part of the conference aims at exercising a simple interaction between doctors and pharmacists. Responding to a slogan topic (cardiology, infectious diseases, pain, and pediatrics), a doctor should articulate therapeutical problems that they encounter in every day hospital work. A pharmacist will try to point out the benefits from incorporating a broad, highly specialized knowledge of medicines’ effects, benefits for the patient, the doctor, and for the hospital’s finances. The conference will feature a professional panel discussing difficult and controversial matters. The subject matter of the panel and presentations will include: the balance of expenses and treatment efficiency, clinical evidence in ground-breaking therapies; the economic value of pharmaceutical services in hospital environment; clinical research, the risk of pharmacotherapy, the role of doctors and pharmacists; unwanted effects and medical mistakes. We kindly invite you to join the conference.
The conference will be held in the Centrum Dydaktyczno - Kongresowe Wydziału Lekarskiego UJ CM (Congress and Teaching Center of the Medical Department of the Jagiellonian University Collegium Medicum) in Cracow,16 Łazarza street from 4 – 5 December 2009. In the constant education framework, the participants may respectively get: doctors – 8 points, pharmacists – 10 points (including 4 soft points and 6 hard points after passing the test).
